How Forklifts Really Work, Do You Really Understand It

Electric forklift is a kind of commonly used material handling equipment, which uses electricity as the power source and is characterized by easy operation, high efficiency, low noise and no pollution.

 The following is the basic principle of electric forklift for handling goods:

1. Power source: Electric forklift trucks provide electricity through the built-in battery pack, which drives the electric motor to work.

2. electric motor: the electric motor converts electric energy into mechanical energy to drive the walking and lifting mechanism of the forklift truck.

3. Walking mechanism: Electric forklifts usually have four wheels, two of which are drive wheels and the other two are followers. The drive wheels are driven by an electric motor to enable the forklift 

to move forward, backward and steer.

4. Lifting Mechanism: The forklift is equipped with forks at the front of the forklift, which can be inserted into the bottom of the cargo, and the lifting and lowering of the cargo is realized by lifting 

and lowering the forks through the hydraulic system or the electric system.

5. Hydraulic system: In some electric forklift trucks, lifting and tilting the forks is realized by a hydraulic system. A hydraulic pump, driven by an electric motor, provides pressurized oil, and controls 

the movement of the forks by controlling the flow of hydraulic oil.

6. Control system: The operator of the forklift truck controls the electric motor and the hydraulic system by means of an operating lever or a button to realize the walking, steering, lifting and tilting 

of the forklift truck.

7. Safety system: Electric forklifts are usually equipped with safety devices such as emergency stop buttons, limit switches, warning lights and horns to ensure safe operation.

8. Charging and Maintenance: Electric forklifts require regular charging to keep the battery charged. Battery maintenance is also a critical part of proper forklift operation.

The design and functionality of electric forklifts may vary by manufacturer and model, but the basic principles are largely the same. Through these principles, electric forklifts are able to move and 

stack goods efficiently and are widely used in warehouses, factories, logistics centers and other places.
