Here are some basic buying guides:

1. Determine the operation function: First determine the basic operation function of the forklift, such as horizontal handling, stacking/picking, loading/unloading or picking. Different job functions may require different configurations of forklifts.

2. Evaluate operation requirements: consider the specifications of pallets or goods, the height required to be lifted, the width of the working channel, ground conditions (flat or uneven), indoor or outdoor working environment, etc.

3. Select forklift type: Choose electric forklift or diesel forklift according to the working environment. Electric forklifts are suitable for indoor, pollution-free, low-noise working environments; diesel 

forklifts are suitable for outdoor, heavy-load, and long-time working conditions.

4. Consider environmental factors: With the improvement of environmental protection requirements, electric forklifts are becoming more and more popular due to their advantages such as no emissions and low noise.

5. Energy cost and operating cost: Electric forklifts have lower energy consumption costs and longer maintenance cycles, but the initial purchase cost may be higher; diesel forklifts may have lower 

purchase costs, but operating costs (fuel, maintenance) are higher.

6. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO): Evaluate the purchase cost, operating cost, maintenance cost and possible environmental cost of the forklift to choose the option that is most cost-effective in the 

long term.
