Seven tips for operating a bulldozer

Date: Jul 03, 2024 Views:

Commonly used machinery for earthmoving operations, it plays an important role in construction sites, mines, agriculture, forestry and water conservancy. Many people think that bulldozers do not have excavators and graders so much action, driving up should be very easy. In fact, although the bulldozer is simple to operate, but to cope with the working conditions, the operators still need to master a lot of construction operation skills, let's learn together.

Tip one:

Slow large loads are more efficient than fast light loads, try to keep large loads when bulldozing operations. Although the driving speed is slower, it can reduce the number of round trips, reduce the

mileage of empty trucks, and the overall calculation saves both time and fuel consumption.

Tip two:

When it comes to long-distance bulldozing operations, work in sections from front to back. Starting from the very front, each section distance is just enough to pile up the material, so that after

pushing a section and then move back a section. This can reduce the distance of the bulldozer traveling with a full load, but also reduce the distance of the bulldozer returning empty, improve work

efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

Tip Three:

Try to avoid material tumbling. Many people think that material tumbling in front of the dozer shovel is very nice to look at and is a sign that the dozer is powerful. In reality, material tumbling

increases wear and tear on the shovel blade, blades and corners and can increase the dozer's fuel consumption. The correct approach is to keep increasing the load to the maximum amount after

the shovel cuts in to increase efficiency, and when the load is full and the material is about to tumble, lift the shovel slightly.

Tip four:

When bulldozing in the mountains, we must master the principle of "high outside and low inside", that is, close to the side of the cliff is higher, close to the side of the mountain should be lower, to

avoid the bulldozer accidental danger. To the cliff push off the earth and rocks, the speed should be slow, pay attention to timely deceleration, bulldozer can not push out the edge of the cliff.

Tip five:

When bulldozing in muddy and soft working conditions, the bulldozer is easy to get stuck, so the amount of bulldozing per shovel should not be too large, and try to avoid stopping, shifting,

steering and braking on the way, and bulldoze in 2nd gear if necessary. If you encounter a slippery track, you can properly lift the shovel to reduce the amount of bulldozing, if the bulldozer still can

not move forward, then you can hang the reverse gear backward. At this time, do not lift the shovel knife, so as not to bulldoze the front of the force is too large and tilted forward, resulting in the

front part of the track sinking, the rear part of the warping. At this time also can not steer, in order to prevent one side of the track force is too large and aggravate the stuck car. Once trapped, do

not frequently increase the throttle to save yourself, in order to prevent the bulldozer from sinking deeper and deeper.

Tip Six:

When pushing a rock buried in the ground, push it from high to low, use small throttle at first, and wait until the rock is loose before increasing the throttle to push it off. If it is a stone or slag piled

on the ground, push it with the shovel blade close to the ground, and the track should also try to touch the ground to drive. If you are clearing slag in a tunnel or underground hole, you should first

clear a path from the edge, and then push the slag out of the hole one by one from the edge to the center.

Tip seven:

Bulldozer if you want to wade across the river, you should choose the place where the water flow is more rapid, try not to cross the river at the slow water flow, because this place is more silt in the

riverbed is easy to trap the car. The depth of the river should not exceed the crankcase dipstick mouth of the bulldozer, use first gear or second gear large throttle to quickly cross the river, try not to

stop or reverse in the middle.

Overall, there is one principle to be mastered when working with a bulldozer: work in first gear for bulldozing; avoid unilateral loading as much as possible, maintain a stable bulldozing force, and

minimize the distance traveled by the empty vehicle.
